Gaining Strength in Richmond Park

Richmond Park on a week day lunchtime in May.

Impressions: Green in every direction, cloudy, thick grass, green trees, logs and tree stumps strewn about.  So many birds, so many droppings but no sign of the deer.  Five green parakeets flying in formation, a man with walking poles pulling a tire behind him, a man spitting aggressively near my feet, runners, coffee cup wielding passersby.  A huge, burnt out tree with beautiful, intricate cobwebs inside.

Question: Pulling a tire is a way to train to build up physical endurance and strength.  What do you do to build up emotional and mental strength?
