Tower Hamlets Cemetery Park on a week day lunchtime in March.
Impressions: Oscillating between bitter cold and picnic worthy sunshine, blow your ears off wind and stillness. Every variety of daffodil, pale yellow, lemony, duck beak yellow, orangey, sturdy heads bobbing. Untamed wild space, nettles, thistles, thick white blossom, lush green, moss, ivy, holly. Old gravestones bearing Victorian names – Arabella, Enoch, Fanny, Matilda. Planes overhead, tower blocks on the edges, digger growling.
Question: Where did your name come from and what does it mean to you?
