Noticing in Hampton Court Gardens

Part of Hampton Court Gardens on a week day afternoon in February.

Impressions:  White sky, raucous bird calls, bitter wind.  Spring in the air, warm sunshine, trees thick with closed buds, curly branches, bulbs beginning to flower, snow drops, crocuses, holly.  Children toddling around in woolly hats, children playing football on the grass that bans walking due to the flowering bulbs, children calling and laughing from behind the tall hedges of the maze.  CCTV, manicured spaces, tall red wall, benches.

Question: The holly is always there but we don’t tend to notice it when we can see blossom and flowers.  What is there for you but you are not noticing it right now?
